How I Found My Creativity Again at the Library | Sewing & Inspiration Vlog

Lately, I've been learning that creativity doesn't always come from working harder. Sometimes, it comes from slowing down.

As a fashion designer, I spend a lot of time thinking about patterns, fabrics, tutorials, and creating new projects. But like many creative people, I occasionally find myself feeling uninspired.

Instead of forcing ideas, I decided to do something different.

I visited the library.

There was something calming about the quiet space, the natural light, and being surrounded by books and people focused on learning. For a while, I stopped thinking about productivity and simply allowed myself to observe and enjoy the moment.

And slowly, something changed.

Ideas started coming back.

I began thinking about new sewing projects, future patterns, and all the reasons why I fell in love with creating clothes in the first place.

Why Taking a Break Can Help Creativity

We often believe that creativity happens only when we're actively working.

But sometimes, creativity grows in moments of rest.

A peaceful walk, a quiet library, or simply sitting without distractions can give our minds the space they need to reconnect with new ideas.

As creators, we don't always need to push harder.

Sometimes, we simply need to pause.

Sewing Is More Than Making Clothes

One of the things I love most about sewing is that it allows us to create slowly and intentionally.

Every project becomes an opportunity to learn something new, express ourselves, and enjoy the process of making something with our own hands.

That's one of the reasons I continue designing sewing patterns and creating tutorials. I believe sewing should feel approachable, inspiring, and enjoyable for everyone, especially beginners.
